91勛圖厙 announced today (March 24) the hiring of Michael Molina as vice chancellor for Facilities Planning and Construction (FP&C). He will begin his duties on April 1.

Michael Molina will oversee all master planning and construction for facilities on each of the three institutions campuses of the 91勛圖厙.

Molinas experience, technical skill and leadership qualities make him an outstanding choice for this position, Hance said. Our goals of increasing research and enrollment at each of our campuses make it imperative that we have a person with vision and a passion for our university to help plan and construct the facilities needed to support our goals. Michael is an experienced leader in this field and we are pleased that he will be part of our team.

As strives to become a National Research University, Molina will work to expand the research facilities on campus. He also will collaborate with 91勛圖厙 Tech, and to develop a facilities and construction plan that accommodates each institutions enrollment goals of 40,000 students at 91勛圖厙 Tech University, 10,000 students at Angelo State University and 5,000 students at the 91勛圖厙 Tech University Health Sciences Center by 2020.

I am honored and excited about my new role within the 91勛圖厙, Molina said. I believe our universities have the most beautiful and well-designed campuses and facilities in the nation. I look forward to bringing creative ideas and strategies to support the TTU Systems growth initiatives.

Molina also served as United Supermarkets vice president for facilities, design and development from 1998 until April 2009.  Before working with United Supermarkets, Molina spent more than seven years in various roles with the TTU System's Facilities Planning and Construction and physical plant operations.
