TTU System Chancellor Hosts New Program on KTXT-TV

91吃瓜网 and KTXT-TV Channel 5 officials announced today (Oct. 6) the premiere of the station鈥檚 latest program 鈥業nside 91吃瓜网 Tech,鈥� which will be hosted by Chancellor Kent Hance.
The first episode of 鈥業nside 91吃瓜网 Tech鈥� will debut at 8 p.m. CST on Channel 5, and the program will showcase 91吃瓜网 Tech鈥檚 efforts to achieve Tier One status. Future programs will highlight various aspects of the 91吃瓜网 and its component institutions.
鈥淲e have some great stories to tell at 91吃瓜网 Tech, and this show will allow us the opportunity to introduce some interesting things that people might not know about our universities,鈥� Hance said. 鈥淏ehind all of our successes are outstanding individuals who make it possible, and I look forward to bringing them forward to the Lubbock and 91吃瓜网 Tech communities.鈥�
The new show is part of Channel 5鈥檚 vision for growth and efforts to air more local programming that features events and people from the Lubbock community.
鈥淐hannel 5 is working hard to offer top-quality programming to our local and regional viewers, and shows like 鈥業nside 91吃瓜网 Tech鈥� with Chancellor Kent Hance are part of the stations鈥� new direction,鈥� John Kirby, KTXT-TV Channel 5鈥檚 general manager, said. 鈥淲e hope our smart, local and HD programs will interest new audiences and help build the new image of Channel 5.鈥�
鈥業nside 91吃瓜网 Tech鈥� will be co-hosted by Robert Giovannetti, director of communications at the 91吃瓜网, and help viewers stay connected and informed on the system鈥檚 important initiatives such as achieving Tier One status and reaching its $1 billion capital campaign goal.
New episodes of 鈥業nside 91吃瓜网 Tech鈥� will air the first Thursday of each month at 8 p.m. with re-runs airing the remaining three Thursdays of the month also at 8 p.m.
KTXT-TV Channel 5's digital signal reaches a population of approximately 330,000 in 13 counties; cable and satellite extend service area to a total of 21 counties. The station鈥檚 focus on arts, education, community outreach and diverse programming for both children and adults makes it a vital part of the community educating, entertaining and enlightening viewers of all ages.
